POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. - Marist volleyball head coach Tom Hanna announced on Monday the addition of 5'10" left side hitter Stephanie Robinett to the Red Foxes' roster for the 2009 season. Robinett comes to Marist after playing her freshman season at Wagner College. She will have three years of eligibility.

Robinett led Wagner as a freshman last season with 210 kills and 192 digs, averaging 2.47 kills and 2.26 digs per set. She had four double-doubles for the Seahawks, including a 10 kill, 19 dig performance against LaSalle on October 7, 2008. Robinett had a career-high 18 kills against Lafayette on October 29, hitting .467 for the match. She was a two-time All-District selection while at Dulles High School in Sugar Land, Texas. Robinett also played for the Team Texas club team which finished third at the 2008 USA Volleyball Junior Olympics in the American Division. She attended three USA Volleyball High Performance camps from 2003-2006.

"With 24 college matches under her belt, Stephanie's experience her freshman year at Wagner will be our gain," said Hanna of Robinett. "Combine her play at Wagner with her high level club experience in Texas and with the USA Volleyball High Performance program, out team is clearly better with her presence. I'm excited to welcome Stephanie to the Red Foxes family."

Marist finished the 2008 season with a 14-17 record, going 9-9 in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference.
