Marist Names Joe Ausanio Head Softball Coach

Marist Director of Athletics Tim Murray announced on Monday that Joe Ausanio has been named Head Softball Coach. Ausanio served as the program's interim head coach for the 2009 season, in which the Red Foxes compiled a 9-7 conference record, had the MAAC Player of the Year, the MAAC Co-Rookie of the Year and three First Team All-Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference selections. more
Melissa Giordano Named Third Team Academic All-American

Marist softball senior shortstop Melissa Giordano (Stamford, Conn./ Business Administration/Marketing) was named a Third Team Academic All-American by ESPN The Magazine/CoSIDA on Wednesday. Giordano is the second Marist athlete to earn the All-American status as well as the second softball player in program history to garner the award. more
