CLEMSON, S.C. - The Marist women's crew team wrapped up their spring training trip at the University of Clemson with their second race of the week on Saturday. The format of the races was three times 1,500 meters. The Red Foxes raced crews in the Varsity 8, 2nd Varsity 8 and Frosh/Novice 8 divisions.

The results of the second leg of the Varsity 8 races were Clemson (5:21.5), Purdue (5:34.7), Indiana (5:35.6) and Marist (5:59.1). In the third leg, Purdue and Indiana swapped finishing spots. The times were Clemson (5:18.9), Indiana (5:36.8), Purdue (5:37.4) and Marist (5:55.9).

Clemson continued their strong performance in the second Varsity 8 division. The results of the second leg were Clemson (5:19.1), Indiana (5:25.2), Purdue (6:00.2) and Marist (6:18.1). In the third leg the times improved significantly; the results were Clemson (5:09.3), Indiana (5:16.3), Purdue (5:46.6) and Marist (dns).

In the Frosh/Novice 8 division, the results of the second leg were Indiana (5:46.6), Clemson (5:51.5), Purdue (6:09.6) and Marist (6:34.5). In the third and final leg, the results read Indiana (5:51.6), Clemson (5:52.0), Purdue (6:06.8) and Marist (dns).

The waters held a significant chop for the first 1,000 meters, with a cross headwind at 10 mph; however, the conditions would ease up for the 2nd Varsity 8 and the 2nd Novice 8.

Marist will travel to Ithica for a race with the Bombers on Saturday, March 28.
