Time Warner Cable 6 To Broadcast 15 Marist Basketball Regular-Season Games

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. - Marist Director of Athletics Tim Murray announced that Marist and Time Warner Cable 6 have reached an agreement to carry 15 home Marist basketball games this season live. The agreement includes the highest number of women's games broadcasts (eight) in the history of the Marist-Time Warner partnership. Time Warner reaches 170,000 households in the Hudson Valley. Additionally, all games will also be aired by Cablevision Systems in Wappingers Falls, adding another 75,000 households. After the original broadcast, each game can be accessed on Time Warner Cable's local video-on-demand service, Channel 1111. "Marist continues to be fortunate to have such a terrific partnership with Time Warner Cable," Murray said. "The people of the Hudson River Valley enjoy watching our basketball programs, and I'm pleased that we have the opportunity to provide that for them." The Time Warner schedule begins on Friday, Nov. 13 with the first WNIT home game in Marist history, as the Red Foxes host North Carolina A&T at 7:30 p.m. The women's team's contest against 2009 Final Four participant Oklahoma on Wednesday, Dec. 9 will air on Time Warner. The men's television schedule debuts with its home opener against Boston University on Saturday, Dec. 12. Of the 18 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference games Marist will host this year, 11 will be televised by Time Warner. "Time Warner Cable is continuing its commitment to providing quality local programming to our viewers by renewing our long-standing relationship with Marist College," said Richard Haddard, who will serve as Executive Producer of the broadcasts. "We're looking forward to again providing 15 men's and women's Division I basketball games both live and available anytime on Hudson Valley On Demand, channel 1111." Dean Darling, who will be entering his 27th season of broadcasting Marist basketball, will provide the play-by-play for Time Warner once again. Former Marist standout Steve Eggink enters his fifth season providing color analysis.
