Fans Invited to NCAA Selection Show on Monday, March 17

Event will be held at Shadows on the Hudson beginning at 6:30 p.m.

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y.- The Marist women's basketball team will hold its NCAA Selection Show gathering Monday, March 17 at 6:30 p.m. at Shadows on the Hudson in Poughkeepsie. The selection show is scheduled to air at 7 p.m. on ESPN. The event is open to the public.

The Marist women's basketball team won its third straight MAAC Tournament Championship on Sunday at the Times Union Center in Albany, defeating Iona 83-63. This is the Red Foxes' fourth tournament title in five years, and their second straight win over Iona in the final. Sarah Smrdel (Mentor, Ohio) was named the Tournament MVP after averaging 10.7 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 2.7 blocks per game while shooting 73.3% from the field.

Sunday's win was Marist's 21st in a row, and improved the Red Foxes' program record for victories in a single season to 31. They now stand at 31-2 overall.
