Final Stats

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. - The Marist men's soccer team played their final game of the 2008 season on Sunday afternoon, in a road contest at Iona. The Red Foxes fell in the contest 1-0.

The Gaels got on the board in the 24th minute, when Alay Lo beat the Red Foxes goalkeeper Marcelo del Rio (Glendale, N.Y.). del Rio made seven saves in the loss.

The Red Foxes had a few chances in the game, including a shot by senior Luis Andre (Matawan, N.J.). In the 39th minute Andre hit the crossbar, to tally one of seven first half shots for Marist.

Marist has completed play in the 2008 season, as they compiled a record of 3-13-2, and 0-8-1 in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) play. Marist College will host the 2008 MAAC Men's Soccer Championship at Tenney Stadium at Leonidoff Field on Friday, Nov. 14 and Sunday, Nov. 16.
