POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. - The Marist Department of Athletics announced that the first Meet the Coaches Luncheon of the 2009-10 season will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 11 at the Historic Cornell Boathouse on the campus of Marist College. The luncheon begins at noon and the cost is $15 per person.

Reservations are required and can be made by contacting Janet Davis at (845) 575-3304 before 5 p.m., on Monday, Nov. 9. Be sure to reserve your seat as soon as possible, as walk-ups will not be accepted on the day of the luncheon.

The afternoon's program will include remarks from head football coach Jim Parady along with Marist basketball head coaches Chuck Martin and Brian Giorgis. The head coaches will address the crowd about the progress of each program and preview their upcoming games. Fans will have the opportunity to get all the latest information about the teams before their weekend competitions.

The Marist women's basketball program will tip off the action on Friday, Nov. 13 as the Red Foxes start their 2009-10 campaign against North Carolina A&T in the first round of the Preseason WNIT at 7:30 p.m. at the McCann Center. The Marist football and men's basketball programs will both be in action the very next day as they hit the road to take on Davidson and Rutgers, respectively. The football team will take on Davidson at 1 p.m., as they look to extend its winning streak to six games. The men's basketball program will begin its 2009-10 season at 2 p.m., against Rutgers in Piscataway, N.J.

The luncheon's buffet menu will consist of Caesar salad, grilled pesto chicken, mixed vegetables, herb roasted potatoes, assorted desserts and soft drinks.
