Marist-Niagara Game Notes Get Acrobat Reader

TIP-OFF: The Red Foxes host Niagara in a MAAC contest. Tip-off is set for 4 p.m.

ON THE AIR: Today's game be broadcast live on radio on WKIP (1450 AM) in Poughkeepsie, with Ed Weir on play-by-play and Steve Eggink doing color. The broadcast will also be available online at GoRedFoxes.com free of charge through Stretch Internet, with the pregame show starting at 3:30 p.m. The game will air live on Time Warner Cable 6, with Dean Darling on play-by-play, Steve Eggink on color and Dan Carruthers reporting from the sideline.

LAST TIME OUT: Marist suffered a 73-67 loss at Manhattan on Friday. Red-shirt senior forward Ryan Schneider led Marist in scoring (21) and rebounding (four).

HISTORY LESSON: Since joining the MAAC, Marist has posted a record of 10-14 against Niagara. The Red Foxes have won three of the last four meetings at the McCann Center.

UP NEXT: Marist hosts Siena on Thursday at 7:30 p.m.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK X2: Freshman guard R.J. Hall was named MAAC Rookie of the Week on Jan. 5, the second straight week in which he was honored. Hall averaged 15.5 points per game against Binghamton (Dec. 30) and Rider (Jan. 4).

20+ and 90+: In his last six games, red-shirt senior forward Ryan Schneider is averaging 21.8 points per game, with four games of at least 20 points. Schneider is also shooting .921 (35-for-38) from the free-throw line in that span.

STUFFING THE MAAC LEADERBOARD: Red-shirt senior forward Ryan Schneider ranks in the top 10 in the MAAC in defensive rebounds per game (1st, 7.4), total rebounds per game (2nd, 8.7), minutes per game (2nd, 37.2), three-pointers made (2nd, 2.7), scoring (4th, 16.4), free-throw percentage (5th, .853), three-point percentage (8th, .404), steals (9th, 1.5) and blocked shots (10th, 0.9).

STUFFING THE STAT SHEET, PART ONE: Red-shirt senior forward Ryan Schneider is leading the Red Foxes in both scoring and rebounding this season (16.4 points, 8.7 rebounds per game). He has 15 double-digit scoring efforts, and in the two games he did not score in double digits, he had a double-digit rebounding effort. His 12 rebounds against New Hampshire on Nov. 29 tied a career high previously set at Rutgers in the season opener on Nov. 14. With 22 points and 19 rebounds at Delaware on Dec. 23, Schneider acheived his first double-double of the season, which was his second as a Red Fox and 12th of his collegiate career.

STUFFING THE STAT SHEET, PART TWO: Red-shirt senior forward Ryan Schneider also leads the Red Foxes in steals (25), three-pointers made (46), minutes played (37.2 per game), free throws made (58), free throws attempted (68), free-throw percentage (.853) and blocked shots (15). He is the only Red Fox to make a three-pointer in every game this season, and is shooting .404 from long distance.

AND WHILE WE'RE AT IT: Red-shirt senior forward Ryan Schneider has led Marist in rebounding in each of the team's eight games, averaging 8.9 rebounds per game in that span.
