For nearly eight more minutes, Rider kept the lead between eight and 13 until a three-point by Gregory cut the Broncs' lead to 70-63 with 2:24 left. After two free throws by Rider's Harris Mansell put the Broncs up 72-63, a basket by Marist red-shirt sophomore guard Dejuan Goodwin (Baltimore, Md.) brought the Red Foxes to within seven with 1:22 left, but Rider scored the game's last four points.

The Red Foxes shot 55.2 percent (16-for-29) from the field and 45.5 percent (5-for-11) from three-point range in the second half, but the Broncs shot 60 percent (12-for-20) from the field in the second half.
