Marist Falls To Second-Seed Stanford 12-1 In First Round Of NCAA Water Polo Championships

The Marist women's water polo team hung with second-seed Stanford for much of the first half on Friday afternoon at the Avery Aquatic Center, but the Cardinal proved to be too much for the Red Foxes to handle. Stanford defeated Marist 12-1 in the first round of the NCAA Water Polo Championships, as sophomore Samantha Swartz (Harleysville, Pa.) scored the Red Foxes' lone goal. Senior goalie Elizabeth Davis (Albuquerque, N.M.) made nine saves in the game. more

Women's Tennis Set For First Round Match With USC

The Marist women's tennis team will take on tenth-ranked Southern California this evening at 7:00 p.m. ET at Marks Stadium in Los Angeles, Calif. The Red Foxes (10-8) won their second consecutive MAAC Championship on April 20th over Fairfield. USC is 17-7 overall and hosting a regional for the seventh straight season. more

Softball Postponed Due To Weather

The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference has postponed all games today in the MAAC Tournament due to weather. Play will resume Saturday with Fairfield and Canisius playing at 11:00 a.m. and the Red Foxes taking on third-seeded Niagara at 1:00 p.m. more

Red Foxes Drop MAAC Tournament Opener To Canisius

The Marist softball team fell to top-seeded Canisius 9-4 on Thursday afternoon in the opening round of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Tournament at DeLuca Field in Stratford, Conn. Michelle Fridey hit a big three-run homer in the top of the fourth inning to break the game open for the Golden Griffins. Marist was led by shortstop Melissa Giordano (Stamford, Conn.) who had a homer and two RBI's. more
